Terrance Saeteurn’s Journey: Defending His Title and Eyeing UFC Glory

In the world of MMA, few stories captivate like those of rising stars climbing toward greatness. Terrance “Wrong Turn” Saeteurn is one of them. As the reigning A1 Combat Flyweight Champion, Terrance is set to defend his title on May 2 at Hard Rock Live in Sacramento against the dangerous Isaiah Torres. In this exclusive interview, he opens up about his training camp, sparring with UFC champions, and his dreams of making it to the UFC.

The Road to May 2: Focused and Fired Up

Terrance’s preparation for his upcoming title defense started long before the bout was announced. “Camp’s been good, man. I’ve felt like I’ve been getting ready for something since December,” he said. Despite a few delays and missed opportunities, Terrance has stayed locked in. “It’s been a long layoff since September, so I’m just excited to get back in there and do what I love.”

He’s not underestimating his opponent, either. Isaiah Torres, a 7-2-1 fighter riding a three-fight win streak, presents a serious challenge. “He’s a dangerous striker with a solid record and even a purple belt in jiu-jitsu. It’s going to be a fun one and a great test for me,” Terrance said.

Training with the Elite: Lessons from the Top

One of the key highlights of Terrance’s camp was training in Las Vegas alongside UFC champions Brandon Moreno and Alexa Grasso. “It was dope—my second time helping Moreno with his camp. Meeting Alexa, Bryan Battle, and the rest of the team was an honor,” he recalled.

The intensity of those sessions left a lasting impression. “Seeing how they handle fresh opponents every round—it’s tough, but it shows you what’s possible. You learn to push through adversity,” he said. Those lessons, combined with his own grind, have fueled his momentum heading into May 2.

Contender Series Ambitions and the UFC Dream

While the May 2 title defense is front and center, Terrance is also looking ahead. With the UFC Contender Series expected to return this summer, this fight could be his ticket in. “If I win on May 2, I’d love to get that Contender Series call. But if it comes later, I’ll stay active and take another fight,” he said.

He’s watched others blaze the trail from A1 Combat to the UFC—names like Peyton Talbott and Ryan Loder—and he’s hungry to be next. “I want to be the next name added to that list,” Terrance said with conviction.

A1 Combat’s “Night of Champions”: A Star-Studded Platform

A1 Combat’s upcoming card is stacked, featuring four title fights and a showcase of top-tier talent. Terrance’s spot in the co-main event underscores his rising star power. “It speaks volumes about how A1 Combat sees me. I’m just grateful for the platform and ready to show what I’m made of,” he said. Expect fireworks.

Gratitude and Support: The Team Behind the Fighter

Terrance knows he wouldn’t be here without a strong support system. “First off, shoutout to my sponsor, A Honu Day—they’ve been amazing. Big thanks to my girl, who makes all my shirts—she kills it. And of course, my coaches, teammates, and the sister schools that helped me prepare for this fight,” he said.
